Montgomery County Humane Society Pet-of-the-Week

Montgomery County Humane Society Pet-of-the-Week

Whoa! Hey there! Name is Pluto! You know when the wind catches my ears just right, I can almost fly! I am a one year old shepherd mix. Did you notice my shiny black coat? How about my long legs? You couldn’t miss the ears, now could you? My family was moving and they returned me to the shelter. I didn’t really get it, unless they were moving to a state that didn’t allow dogs….hmmmm. Oh well. Just so you know I have all of my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative, I have a microchip, and I have already been neutered. I am an active dog that loves to play, walk, and run. I know I would fit in just great with an active fun filled family.  I am here and just waiting for you to come to come and adopt me! Hurry up!

Hi, I am Hannah! Do you think I am a cute girl? I bet you would if you could see me in person! You see I have this golden coat that is kind of shaggy and a long tail that curls around and makes a complete circle at the end! I am from Mississippi! I came with some of my friends to Montgomery when our shelter was flooding. The HSUS brought us here in horse trailers! Since I have been here I have gotten all of my shots, I was treated for heartworms, I got a microchip, and I was spayed. I passed all of my temperament tests with flying colors. Everyone here is just crazy about me. I am a very nice girl that can get along with just about everyone. If you have another dog, please bring him out for a visit with me. You can see how well we could play together and then I bet you would want to take me home.

Woof! Woof! We are Mary Kate and Ashley! We are sooooo very glad to be here at the shelter. A very nice lady brought us here. She saw us several weeks ago beside a busy road that she travels. Well she stopped and tried to help us, but we were too afraid. She saw that we were living in a ditch beside the road. She stopped everyday for three weeks, talking to us and bringing us food. Finally we trusted her enough to come out and sit beside her. She put us in her car and that’s how we got to the shelter. We love her very much!! Since we have been here we have gotten all of our shots, we were tested for heartworms, we got a microchip, and we got spayed. We are so ready for a real home and a real family! We hope that we will be adopted together, but more than that we hope we each get great homes.

Officials with the Montgomery County Humane Society say the project is totally paid for. Now they're waiting on the benches, bricks and pavers for the park as well as for sponsor plaques and other cosmetic additions.

Hello. I am Goose…not a goose. It’s just my name…Goose. I am a one year old shepherd mix. I don’t understand it, but I have been passed over so many times by potential adoptive families. Maybe it’s my color…I am kind of a greyish color. I don’t really have any features that stand out on me or make me look special. I do have all of my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative, I have a microchip, and I have already been neutered. Everyone here says that I am a wonderful dog…. that I am sweet and gentle. Golly I get along great with all the dogs here and I even like cats! Surely you don’t know many dogs that will admit that! I am just hoping someone will notice me and appreciate all of my great qualities.

Hello, my name is Constantine! I know what you are thinking, what a big name for such a small dog! I am a three year old Jack Russell terrier mix. My owner brought me to the shelter because he couldn't take care of me any longer. He gave me great recommendations though. He said I was just great with adults, kids, and other dogs. He is really hoping I will find a new home very soon. I have all of my vaccinations, I have been tested for heartworms, I have a microchip, and I have already been neutered. I am full grown so I am not getting any larger. I think I would be great company for someone that lived alone or someone that lived in an apartment because I am a small dog. Say, do you have any friends that are looking for a companion pet? Well quick, sit down and give them a call and tell them about me. I know they would like me!

Kiss, kiss, kiss to you! My name is Brenda! I love to give kisses, because I am such a sweet, sweet girl. I love everybody! I like to get close to my people and lean on them or sit in their laps! I even like to be carried in their arms when I am tired! I had a home for a short time, but then my owners had a change in their life style and I just didn't fit in it anymore. So here I am looking for a new home. I have all of my shots, I have been tested for heartworms, I have a microchip, and I have already been spayed. Let me tell you a little secret. I know how to play catch! Yes I do! Do you know how much fun I would if you added me to your family? You would love me. Your kids would love me. Your neighbors would love me. I am ready for my new home. I will give my new owners so many kisses and my love and affection forever. Please come by for a visit. I would love to see you and plant a great, big kiss on you!
