Hi, I am Dallas. I am a retriever/lab mix. I am about a year old. Say, did you notice my blond coat? I think it looks kind of nice, don't you? My face is very unusual. I have darker brown rings around my eyes that make me look like a raccoon. Believe me I am not related to a raccoon! Some nice people found me lost in their neighborhood. They brought me to the shelter so I would be safe while I waited for my family. Well no one came to claim me, so I am in the market for a new home. Since I have been at this great facility I have gotten all of my vaccinations, I was tested for heartworms, I got a microchip, and I was neutered. I am a great leash walker and I love to explore new places. I think I would be a great companion for an eight or nine year old boy. We could have some great adventures together in the back yard! When you come to meet me you will probably notice that I am a little bit shy. It takes me a few minutes to warm up to people I haven't met before. If you will just give me a chance, I know that I can be the best dog you ever had!
