Tang Wood will serve as keynote speaker at Auburn Montgomery's annual Martin
Luther King Jr. Reflections Breakfast on Jan. 21, 9 a.m., in Taylor Center
rooms 221-223. The event is free and open to the public but guests must RSVP by
Jan. 14 at 334-244-3904.
Wood
was recently awarded the Maury D. Smith Award for Excellence in Professional
Ethics at the third annual River Region Ethics in Business and Public Service
Awards. She immigrated to the U.S. from Laos, Vietnam in 1972 and has lived in
Montgomery since 1985. She is the owner ofTang's Alterations, which has five
shops in Montgomery and one in Prattville. Her company is committed to
community service, supporting the Girl Scouts, Rotary Club, Montgomery Ballet,
Chamber of Commerce, Kids First, MACOA, and the American Cancer Society.

use these insights to make our communities more inclusive, just and safe. For
