MPD to hold promotional and awards ceremony | Events

The Montgomery Police Department will host a promotional and awards ceremony  at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at the Armory Learning Arts Center, 1018 Madison Ave. The program will recognize the actions of three police officers, one of whom will receive the Lifesaving Medal and two of whom will receive the Medal of Valor. In addition, police promotions will be made to the ranks of corporal, sergeant, lieutenant and captain; and MPD also will promote a civilian property control and evidence supervisor.
