Character@HEART to sponsor "iTouch The Future" seminar | Events
Character@HEART is sponsoring a speaker for Professional Development Day for the Montgomery Public School Elementary faculty and administration. The speaker will be Ms. Barbara Gruener from Houston, Texas. The title of her presentation is "iTouch the Future". She will be speaking at Lee High School on Thursday, August 16 from 9:00-11:00 am.
Barbara Gruener has been a teacher for as long as she can remember, officially starting when she was in first grade and her teacher would send her to the library to teach the kids who were struggling to keep up. She eventually earned a teaching degree from University of Wisconsin before moving to Texas, where she worked on two subsequent MS degrees, one in education and the other in counseling, at the University of Houston. She began her 28-year career in high school, but left secondary 13 years ago for elementary. She currently works as the counselor and character coach at a National School of Character in Friendswood, TX. Barbara also serves as a site visitor for the Character Education Partnership as well as a writer for the Character Counts! Character Educator. When she's not working, she likes to knit, bake, read, write, take long walks, and hang out with her husband, John, and their three children.
Get ready to be inspired by her motivational message: iTouch The Future.
