Montgomery Lions Club's Capital City Chili Cook-Off is Saturday! | Community Spirit

The Montgomery Lions Club Capital City Chili Cook-off, presented by Creek Casino, will be held on Saturday, October 20th from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Riverwalk Stadium.

Admission is $10 for adults.  Kids under 10 enter for free!   Tickets are available for advance purchase by calling the Montgomery Lions Club office 356-1180. ALL proceeds support youth and sight preservation programs.  Tickets will also be available at the Riverwalk Stadium entrance the day of the Cook-off.

Chili cook teams from around the River Region will compete in both amateur and restaurant categories and will enter their best chili recipes in one of four categories, meat, poultry, wild game, and vegetarian, to see which chili can win over a discriminating panel of judges and the general public.  The public is invited to vote for their favorite chili team to win the “People’s Choice Award”.

Guests will also be able to watch football on the big screen in Center Field, and the children’s play area will be available to the kids.
