MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA)- The first residents have moved into the new Plaza at Centennial Hill development off of Hall Street in Montgomery.

The development is a public/private partnership between the Montgomery Housing Authority and Interstate Realty. There will be 129 units in what's known as Phase 1 of the development.

"I stayed in Tulane Court about 13, 14 years so I decided to come back over here," said Kenneth Hudson, who just moved in Wednesday. "With us being the first tenants, you can get the feel, smell the fresh paint and all that kind of stuff."

Some of the units are single level, while others are townhomes.
